Habitat for Humanity is one of the leading programs in the nation. Having the opportunity to volunteer with this organization is this most fulfilling part of my reign as Miss Mecklenburg County 2007.
There are numerous ways to get involved in Habitat; construction, donations, labor work and interior design. I know this is one way a Queen can get her hands dirty for a good cause!

PLATFORM: TRUTH
TRUTH stands for Teens Resisting Underage Tobacco Habits. TRUTH is a national education based smoking prevention campaign that was begun by the American Legacy Foundation in 2000. Within 2 years of the campaign's start, 300,000 teens had chosen not to smoke because of the campaign.
TRUTH centers their campaign around teenage interest and functions like commercials on MTV and touring with concerts that appeal to teenagers. They use very raw tactics.
