Karlee Sanderford, a rising junior at Corinth Holders High School, is the new Miss North Carolina’s Outstanding Teen. She is the 16-year-old daughter of David and Kelli Sanderford of Clayton. Karlee competed as Miss Garner’s Outstanding Teen against 34 other contestants to capture the crown and title of Miss North Carolina’s Outstanding Teen 2019 on April 14, 2019, at the High Point Theater in High Point, NC. Along with the title of Miss North Carolina’s Outstanding Teen 2019, Karlee was also awarded a $5000 cash scholarship and an in-kind scholarship to High Point University.

During her year of service, Karlee will promote and speak about her platform, “Show the Love~ Caring for Orphans Around the World”. She enjoys raising funds to financially assist families who are adopting and organizing her annual drive to collect supplies for orphans living in special care facilities in China. Additionally, Karlee has collected over 200 pairs of pajamas, socks, and underwear for local foster care children. As Miss North Carolina’s Outstanding Teen, Karlee also serves as an ambassador for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals – the national platform for the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Organization. Karlee is busy preparing for the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen competition, which will be held in Orlando, Florida on July 23 – 27, 2019. She will be competing in interview, lifestyle and fitness, talent, and evening wear/ onstage question.
